Bookkeeping Services through QuickBooks Online

I specialize in bookkeeping and financial reporting.  My role is to…

- Record and categorize your daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online

- Track and provide reports on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities

- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans on a monthly basis

- Generate Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

- Organize your records so that your CPA has clean data at tax time

- Assist with clean up and set up of your books in QuickBooks Online, as we get started 

I do not prepare tax returns, provide tax advice, or represent clients before the IRS.  Those services belong to your CPA or tax professional.   What I do is work alongside them, to make their job easier, and to make the tax season go much more smoothly for both of you.

I also do not process payroll.  I will, of course, record the transaction detail once the payroll has been processed and dispersed by you or your payroll service provider.

When your books are current and accurate…

- Your CPA spends less time managing errors and missing information and more time on strategy

- You have year-round visibility into your financial health, not just at year-end

You hire your CPA for taxes.  I respect that boundary and will never attempt to file returns or provide tax advice unless explicitly engaged for organizational support only.

I coordinate with your CPA at year-end.  I deliver organized records and reports that flow directly into the work of tax preparation.

You stay in control.  I do not have signing authority over your accounts, checks, or tax filings.  You retain full responsibility for all financial and tax decisions.

With so many types and sizes of businesses, the needs of each business can vary dramatically.  I use a pricing system that takes into account the various needs a company runs into when it comes to bookkeeping. This allows me to take each company's individual needs and provide an accurate fixed price fee. This is to show respect for you and eliminate hourly rates so you are not left wondering what the final bill will be each month. You will know up-front what that cost will be based on our initial conversations and a first-hand evaluation of  your books. 

Clean up of books (if you are behind), set ups (if you are not already a QuickBooks user), and special projects outside of the regular monthly operations are evaluated and given a fixed one-time fee as well so there are no surprises.

As you grow your business, or adapt to fit the market, things may change over time.  It follows that your books will need to be adapted as well.  When this happens, a simple change order gets filled out. We go over what the new needs are and adjust the fixed price to match those needs.  Again, no surprises.

Secure Credential Sharing

I never accept passwords via email.  All login information must be shared through encrypted password managers (such as Proton Pass,  Bitwarden, or 1Password).

Data Protection

I utilize encrypted cloud software and maintain professional and cyber liability insurance coverage to protect your interests.

Signing Authority Remains With You

You retain full control over all financial and tax decisions.  I record and report; you decide and execute.
